At Hounds Town Charities, we give abandoned dogs a second chance — and in doing so, we give people one too.
Every year, millions of dogs enter shelters — many misunderstood, overlooked, or labeled beyond saving.
We exist for those dogs.
Through rehabilitation, structured training, and real-world socialization, we help dogs move from uncertainty… to trust… to home.
But our work doesn’t stop there.
We believe in the connection between animals and people —and the way that connection can change lives on both sides.

Hounds Town Charities is a nonprofit dedicated to rehabilitating and training abandoned and unwanted dogs — bridging the gap between rescue and adoption.

Our Founder
Michael Gould is the founder of Hounds Town Charities and a lifelong canine professional whose work has been shaped by years in law enforcement and hands-on experience with dogs in real-world environments.
But at his core, he’s something deeper than that.
He is someone who believes understanding changes everything.
